Artist Statement
As a contemporary artist I draw my inspiration from the beautiful countryside surrounding me and the feeling of freedom it gives, spending as much time out in nature as I can.
My painting style is minimal and intuative. Each layer is slowly & carefully built up to create the final piece. In each painting I use glimmers of white to highlight certain areas. This symbolises the feeling of hope and moments of light in life. I love working with fluid acrylics as I feel I can really express my emotions through the water and paint, as it flows freely on the canvas.
My art is a meditative journey, where I fully immerse myself in the process. Each brushstroke is a reflexion of the calming feeling I find in nature, and I invite you to experience a sense of peace and relaxation too.
